A Night to Remember: Esharelife Foundation Holds Its First Annual Gala Dinner in Italy

On 16th May 2026, the Esharelife Foundation marked a significant milestone in its history, hosting its first Annual Gala Dinner in Italy at a beautiful venue in Golfo Aranci, Sardinia. This milestone was a moment of genuine connection, shared purpose, and renewed commitment to the communities that Esharelife exists to serve.

The evening was brought to life through the vision and dedication of Dr Domenico Aiello, Vice President of Esharelife Foundation, whose belief in the Foundation’s mission stretches back to its very beginnings. It was his determination that turned this first Italian chapter into a reality, and his address to the guests that set the tone for the night, bringing the human story behind Esharelife’s work in Kenya closer to everyone in the room. His words gave clarity to what the Foundation’s programmes in education and healthcare mean on the ground, and why the support of every individual and organisation present truly matters. In recognition of his extraordinary commitment, Dr Aiello also received a special acknowledgement on the evening: the Longest Tiramisù Guinness World Record certificate, a tribute to his remarkable spirit of initiative.

The presence of distinguished guests added real depth to the occasion. H.E. Dr Paolo Rondelli, Ambassador of the Republic of San Marino to Australia and former Captain Regent, has been part of the Esharelife family for many years, and his testimony on the evening spoke directly to the values of solidarity and community that define the Foundation’s work. Dr Antonio Masuri, Head of Fundraising and Communications at AVSI ETS in Kenya, offered those in attendance something equally important: a direct, authoritative, and deeply moving account of life on the ground in the communities Esharelife supports. His testimony brought the Foundation’s work from the abstract to the tangible, and left a lasting impression on all who were present. The evening concluded with the closing remarks of Prof Maurizio Bragagni OBE, Chair of Esharelife, whose words of gratitude and vision offered a fitting end to a night that captured everything the Foundation stands for.

A key moment of the evening was the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation, awarded to individuals and organisations whose dedication has been instrumental to Esharelife’s mission and to the success of this first Gala Dinner in Italy. The Foundation was proud to recognise Mr Stefano Schirru, Mrs Linda Fedozzi, Mr Alberto Cadeddu, Mr Giovanni Degortes, Mr Mattia Piludu, Mr Francesco Federico, and Miss Anna Aiello. Each of them has contributed in a distinct and meaningful way, and their recognition on the evening was a reflection of the gratitude the Foundation holds for those who choose to stand behind its cause. Dr Stefano Schirru was additionally appointed Ambassador of Esharelife Foundation, in recognition of his long-standing dedication and the role he played on the evening in presenting the Foundation’s fundraising work to those present.

The event would not have taken place without the support of its sponsors. Esharelife thanks Nautica Assistance SRL, Enoteca Alchimia, Formazione Point, Cantine Siddura, and Maffi Rental Car for making the evening possible, and Rotary Club Olbia for their valued participation. The evening also included a particularly meaningful gesture of Rotary fellowship: the exchange of flags between Rotary Club of the City of London, represented by Rotarian Prof Maurizio Bragagni OBE, and Rotary Club Olbia, a symbolic moment of friendship and international cooperation that reflected the spirit of the entire evening.

What remains most memorable from the evening are the conversations, the connections formed across dinner tables, and the shared sense of purpose that united everyone present — a fitting beginning to what promises to become a meaningful annual tradition for the Foundation.
