Esharelife is proud to announce that as part of our work in combating food insecurity, we have chosen to support The Country Food Trust. Following the Guinness World Record for The Longest Tiramisù, we found it crucial that we redirect the funds collected toward charities that promote access to nutritious food for those in need. Organisations such as The Country Food Trust align with this aspiration, and we are delighted to contribute to their mission.
The Country Food Trust is a UK-based charity run by their CEO, SJ Hunt. They focus on addressing food poverty in the UK by targeting one of the most important requirements of the human diet, yet also the most expensive: protein. The charity aims to provide nutritious, high-protein meals to communities in need and people living in poverty to address the rising cases of protein deficiency and food instability. They are driven by the belief that everyone should have access to high-quality, low-fat, additive-free meals that contribute to a balanced diet, regardless of their economic status and stability.

Moreover, this charity takes a holistic approach to its mission by combining food security with conservation. Deer populations are growing at a rate that is threatening other species, such as butterflies and nightingale birds. Accordingly, The Country Food Trust also aims to address this imbalance by using game meat to supplement people’s low-protein diets.
Demand in food banks has been on the rise as the cost of living becomes increasingly difficult to navigate for many. The Country Food Trust alleviates this by providing single, ready-to-use meal pouches that don’t require refrigeration, making storage simple and efficient. Moreover, the charity works with community kitchens by supplying them with 2kg Catering packs that can feed large groups of people at once.
