Esharelife Launches The Longest Tiramisù Guinness World Record Attempt at the House of Commons

On Monday 23rd February 2026, Esharelife had the honour of launching the Longest Tiramisù Guinness World Record Attempt at the House of Commons. Hosted in collaboration with ComplitalyTV, the evening brought together government officials, diplomats, influencers, and friends of Esharelife to celebrate this exciting initiative ahead of the main event at Chelsea Old Town Hall on 25th–26th April.

The event opened with a warm welcome from The Rt Hon Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP, who highlighted the record-breaking attempt as a symbol of strength and generosity within the Italian community in the UK. He emphasised the positive impact on those in need and encouraged guests to participate in this historic project that blends culinary tradition with charitable support.

Esharelife Trustee, Ms Zilah Skerritt followed with a heartfelt speech, guiding attendees through Esharelife’s work, previous initiatives, and the plans leading up to the record attempt. She expressed sincere gratitude to organisers, partners, sponsors, and supporters, without whom the project would not be possible.

Mr Mirko Ricci, organiser of the record attempt, spoke about the significance of Italian culture in London – the largest Italian community outside Italy – and how the Longest Tiramisù represents solidarity and heritage abroad. He thanked sponsors and shared testimonials from supporters, including John Terry, Giorgio Chiellini, and Kermit the Frog. Sponsor representatives Mr Daniele Rutigliano (Senior Tourism Manager, McArthurGlen) and Mr Giorgio Poggio (CEO, BR.IT Customs) delivered inspiring speeches highlighting their vital contributions.

Prof Maurizio Bragagni OBE concluded the speeches on behalf of the Consulate of San Marino, linking San Marino’s values of education and social responsibility to the mission of the Longest Tiramisù project. He reminded attendees that generosity strengthens communities and drives sustainable futures.

The evening ended with vibrant performances by The Ed Sheeran Experience and Elisa Cipro from the Italian Radio Society, who will both perform at the Italian Expo on 25th April at Chelsea Old Town Hall, preceding the World Record Attempt.

The presence of the guests reflected the values central to Esharelife’s mission: relieving poverty and supporting the less fortunate requires solidarity and care. This work is made possible by the dedication of donors, partners, volunteers, and supporters.
